LORD LAMBOURNE APPLE

Lord Lambourne is a high quality dessert apple, which crops heavily and regularly almost anywhere. Bred by the famous Laxton Brothers Nursery of Bedford in1907 and introduced in 1921. A cross between James Grieve and Worcester Pearmain, it produces medium sized delicious crisp, sweet, juicy apples with a rich aromatic note. Best eaten early in the season

Our Apple Lord Lambourne bare rooted trees are lifted at the start of the bare root season in November, when the apple trees become dormant, and made available through to March the following year. This period is the ideal time for economical planting. You will however have to wait a year to pick your crop as bare root trees cannot be picked in their first year. For all year round planting why not choose from our selection of container grown apple trees. They do cost more but are older, more established and ready to crop.
