A very desirable choice plant for the plant collector. Yellow flowers reminiscent of clusters of cowslips droop from the naked branches in late winter. Related to Daphnes and with the same cultural requirements, Edgeworthia chrysantha originates from the far east and where in Japan it is used to make very high class paper.
