BETULA PENDULA ROYAL FROST

This lovely form of Birch has rich purple leaves, similar colour to that of purple beech and in time has a cinnamon white smooth stem. Autumn colour on Betula pendula Royal Frost has to be one of the most interesting of all Betulas, the leaves going from the summer purple though oranges and yellows.

Betula pendula Royal Frost makes a small to medium sized tree around 6 to 8 metres plus tall. A new introduction from the USA which will be happy growing in the UK.
