CASTANEA SATIVA VARIEGATA (AUREOMARGINATA) - VARIEGATED SWEET CHESTNUT

This form of the Sweet Chesnut although slow growing is perfect if looking for a larger tree with variegated foliage, Castanea sativa Variegata will eventually achieve a height of around 20m. The leaves have a lovely creamy irregular margin which instantly attract attention.

Castanea sativa Variegata will produce nuts in a good hot summer. Sweet chestnuts are a great choice of tree for planting areas which are dry as they have good drought tolerance this includes the Variegated Sweet Chestnut.
